

Overview
The Batura Trek, located in the Passu region (2543m), offers some of the most thrilling adventure walking in the Northern Areas of Pakistan. Nestled in the Batura Valley of the Gojal region in Gilgit-Baltistan, this trek showcases the majestic Batura Glacier, which stretches 57 kilometers (35 mi) in length. The northern region is characterized by lofty mountains, extensive glaciers, and breathtaking landscapes, making it a paradise for alpine enthusiasts. With an average altitude of 3800m, the trek features wild alpine flowers, birch trees, and common rose and juniper trees. Trekkers will also have the chance to observe the summer lifestyle of the Wakhi people as they guide their cattle and yaks to summer pastures. Starting in Islamabad, the journey continues along the Karakoram Highway, renowned for its stunning views of iconic peaks such as Rakaposhi, Diran Peak, Shishpar Peak, and the impressive Batura massif, culminating in a captivating cultural experience of the warm-hearted Hunza people.
